For anyone struggling to remove their styrofoam forms, a cheap hot knife made it a much less taxing project. I wouldn’t call it “easy” still, but being able to hack off large chunks of foam makes it that much thinner and easier to scrape/break away. “Hot foam knife” is what I amazon’d there’s a couple dozen, all generic. Thrilled to be well on our way now!
